Permissions: Reading Deaths

This only counts for un/dead characters, and I'll let you decide whether or not you qualify.

Kangai here has the power to "read" the dying moments of any dead body he touches. Normally this is limited to corpses, but since the undead don't exist in his world, it could very well apply to your character anyway.

Touching people isn't something I want to avoid for no reason, especially when it doesn't happen on purpose. This is here in case our characters do something like share a handshake or have their arms brush against each other in the hallway, where it might be more trouble than it's worth to plot. There aren't any giant consequences of this, other than Kangai being lightheaded for a moment, then maybe realizing your character isn't exactly alive. He might not even comment on it. But this power's a part of him, and he can't control it so it's kind of important I know these things.
  • Can  Kangai read a short snippet of your character's death without letting you know first?: Basically if something happens, would you like a heads up before I reply or if I can reply right away.
  • How likely is it that your character will touch mine?: If your character is touchy-feely, prone to bumping into people, enjoys handshakes, or has some other acclimation towards touching people I just want a heads up about this. (note that it has to be skin to skin contact, so if they wear gloves and long sleeves it doesn't really matter.)
  • Can my character touch yours?: Just in case the situation calls for it, would it be alright to touch your character? I doubt it would happen without reason, but example scenarios would being grabbing your arm if you were acting suspicious or catching someone who fell down the stairs.
  • What is he allowed to know?: Unless I plan something with you in advance, he's only going to see a very short glimpse of your character's death. So whatever you want him to see from a touch, put it here, preferably a few sentences at most. He's going to read whatever the strongest thought that was going through your character's head was, which can range anywhere from how much pain they were in to their dying regrets.

Examples of dying moments:

  • "I can't breathe. There's something on my face but she's holding me down. It hurts. It hurts. I can't--"
  •  A dying wish to "Protect the vault" accompanied with feelings of regret and a burning sensation from within due to poisoning.
  • She died so quickly she couldn't even register that she was killed. It was a blow to the back of her head, shock, and then nothing.
I hope that wasn't too complicated for you! But if you could fill this out, that'd be great.
